Height Guide: Choosing the Right Size Companion Doll

Height is one of the first things buyers look at — and often one of the most misunderstood. This guide explains what the numbers actually mean in practice, and how to choose a size you'll be genuinely happy with long-term.

The Range We Carry

Our full-body collection spans 138cm to 176cm. Most buyers end up somewhere in the 155cm–165cm range, but the right choice depends on your specific situation.

Height Range Approx. Weight Range Notes
138–148cm 20–30kg Compact, easier to manoeuvre. Petite proportions.
150–158cm 25–38kg The most popular range. Balanced proportions across all body types.
160–165cm 30–44kg Full-figure, very lifelike height. Requires more storage planning.
166–176cm 35–50kg Tall, statuesque. Consider strength and handling before choosing.

Weight Is the Variable People Forget

Height and weight don't scale linearly across body types. A 158cm doll with an athletic/slender build might weigh 26kg. The same height with a fuller figure (larger bust, wider hips, fuller thighs) can easily reach 40kg.

Why does this matter? Because you'll be lifting, repositioning, and moving this doll. If you have any back concerns or limited upper-body strength, a lighter build or a shorter height is a practical consideration, not just an aesthetic one.

Torso Models: A Different Calculation Entirely

If you're considering a torso — typically covering the chest, abdomen, and hips — sizing is measured differently. Torsos generally weigh between 8kg and 25kg depending on the portions included, and height becomes largely irrelevant.

Torsos are popular with buyers who want a more manageable form factor and easier storage without compromising on material quality or realism.

Storage: Does It Actually Fit?

Before you order a 165cm doll, think practically about where it will live:

  • Lying flat: You'll need a clear floor space or bed area of at least 175cm × 60cm. A 165cm doll in a relaxed pose takes up more space than you'd expect.
  • Hanging: Hanging storage hooks (installed in a wardrobe or closet) are the cleanest long-term solution. You need at least 180cm of vertical clearance for a 165cm doll, plus the hook height.
  • Standing frame: Some dolls come with a standing foot option. A standing frame in a wardrobe requires full-height clearance.

For buyers with limited space, a 148cm or 150cm model, or a torso, typically offers more flexibility.

Why 158cm Is the Most Popular Choice

If you look at our order data, the 155cm–160cm range accounts for the majority of full-body purchases. It hits a sweet spot: proportions that look and feel adult and realistic, a weight that most buyers find manageable, and a height that fits most standard storage solutions without modification.

The 158cm and 160cm models also have the widest variant availability — more face options, more body type configurations, more material choices.

Making the Final Decision

If you're genuinely unsure: start by measuring your available storage space. Then look at the weight range for the height you're considering. If both feel manageable, you're probably fine. If storage is tight or weight is a concern, go one size smaller — most buyers who downsize a little are satisfied, while buyers who find a doll unexpectedly difficult to manage often regret not sizing down.
