Why AIBEI Luxe: The Studio Behind Our Silicone Collection
Share
Every platinum silicone doll in our collection is produced by a single studio: AIBEI Luxe. We're their authorised international retail partner, and we think it's worth explaining exactly what that means for you as a buyer.
Who AIBEI Luxe Are
AIBEI Luxe is a premium doll studio operating out of Guangzhou, China — the manufacturing centre for the overwhelming majority of the world's silicone companion dolls. They've been producing silicone and TPE companion dolls since 2014, which in this industry represents a significant track record.
What distinguishes them from the broader market is materials sourcing. AIBEI Luxe uses exclusively platinum-cure silicone — not the cheaper peroxide-cure silicone used by many competitors. Platinum-cure silicone is the same class of material used in medical implants and food-grade equipment. It's more expensive to work with, more stable over time, and completely free of the sulphur and other by-products that can cause skin reactions with lower-grade silicones.
The Production Process
AIBEI Luxe operates a studio model rather than a factory production line. Each doll is cast individually, with the silicone mixed, poured, and cured in controlled batches. The skeleton is fitted by hand, and all surface detailing — veining, skin texture, colouring — is applied by skilled technicians.
This is why lead times are what they are. You can't rush the cure time on platinum silicone. Any supplier claiming same-week despatch on a silicone doll is not producing a platinum-cure product — they're shipping stock.
Quality Control at AIBEI
Before any doll leaves the studio, it goes through a multi-stage inspection process:
- Material inspection: Each silicone batch is tested for consistency, Shore hardness, and colour accuracy before casting begins.
- Structural inspection: The completed doll is posed across its full range of motion to verify joint integrity and that the skeleton is correctly seated.
- Surface inspection: The exterior is checked for bubbles, seam visibility, or inconsistencies in texture or colour.
- Packaging inspection: The final unit is sealed in protective packaging verified to prevent transit damage to silicone surfaces.
Units that don't pass any stage are not remediated for sale — they're destroyed. AIBEI's rejection rate is higher than industry average. That's a cost they absorb as a matter of production standard.
What the Authorised Retailer Relationship Means
We don't buy from AIBEI Luxe through a middleman or grey-market channel. We hold a direct authorised retailer agreement, which means:
- We source directly, so there's no markup layer between the studio and you
- We have access to AIBEI's production schedule, so we can give you accurate lead times
- We can escalate warranty claims directly to the studio rather than going through a third party
- We can pass through customisation requests that go beyond standard options
If something goes wrong with a doll — a manufacturing defect, a skeleton issue, a surface flaw that wasn't apparent on delivery — we deal with it through our direct channel, not a slow consumer dispute process.
A Note on Pricing
Platinum silicone dolls cost more than TPE, and AIBEI Luxe costs more than many alternatives. That's not marketing language — it's a reflection of materials and production. If you see a "silicone" doll at a price significantly lower than our range, it's worth verifying whether it's actually platinum-cure silicone, or whether it's a different material described loosely.
Our materials guide covers how to identify the difference, and what questions to ask any supplier. Browse the AIBEI Luxe collection: Platinum Silicone Collection.
