First Doll Buying Guide: 7 Decisions Before Checkout
By Shopify APIShare
A first purchase is easier when you make seven practical decisions in order. This checklist keeps the focus on the exact product, fulfillment route, and support terms rather than broad category promises.
1. Choose speed or configuration first
Start with US ready stock or EU ready stock when delivery speed matters and the finished unit already suits you. Ready-stock options are fixed unless the listing says otherwise.
Choose a factory or made-to-order product when a specific compatible head, body, tone, or installed feature matters more than speed. Production or allocation timing is product-specific.
2. Choose a material by tradeoff
Silicone is often chosen for crisp facial and surface detail. TPE is usually softer and more flexible, with greater attention needed for drying, dye transfer, friction, and pressure. A hybrid normally combines a silicone head with a TPE body and needs care appropriate to both materials.
Read the material comparison, then confirm the exact model specification. Material names alone do not predict exact softness, weight, finish, or durability.
3. Check the listed weight, not just height
Body shape, internal construction, and options can change weight even when two products have the same height. Use the product's listed weight or ask for the current written specification. If you cannot comfortably control that weight, plan a two-person move or suitable lifting equipment.
The size and handling guide includes the measurements to check before checkout.
4. Measure delivery access and storage
Measure doorways, stair turns, lift or elevator access, the receiving area, and the intended storage surface. Plan a clear route before the parcel arrives. Store the product clean, dry, supported, away from heat, direct sun, sharp objects, and dye-transferring fabrics.
5. Confirm every option in writing
Use only the options shown for the exact product or confirmed in writing. A head, tone, skeleton feature, or powered option offered on one model may not be compatible with another. For a custom order, use the customization guide and review names, codes, colors, reference images, included parts, price, and timing before production starts.
6. Understand the full order cost
Check the product price, selected upgrades, shipping, and any destination-specific duties, taxes, brokerage, remote-area service, or appointment delivery. Shipping or duties are included only when the listing, checkout, or written quote expressly says so.
7. Read privacy, returns, and support terms
The outer carton is plain and does not show product imagery or adult-product wording, but required shipping and customs information remains visible. Payment providers control the final bank-statement wording.
Return eligibility depends on whether the product is standard or personalized, sealed or opened, unused or used, and whether the request concerns a verified defect or a change of mind. Commercial warranty terms are product-specific and do not replace mandatory consumer rights.
