Care & Maintenance Guide

Good care is simple: inspect first, clean gently, dry completely, and store without pressure. Always follow any product-specific instructions supplied with your order.

Before first use

  1. Photograph the unopened carton, shipping labels, internal packing, product, and included accessories.
  2. Check the model, options, material, visible condition, joints, fingers, toes, and standing hardware before use.
  3. If something is damaged, missing, or different from the confirmed order, stop and contact Velleria before cleaning, altering, repairing, or using the product.
  4. Clean contact areas with lukewarm water and a mild, unscented soap, then rinse and dry completely.

Routine cleaning

  • Use lukewarm water, a soft cloth, and a small amount of mild, unscented soap.
  • Do not scrub makeup, implanted hair, eyelashes, nails, seams, or delicate surface details.
  • Avoid alcohol, bleach, solvents, abrasive cleaners, strongly fragranced products, and high heat.
  • Use only a lubricant that the manufacturer identifies as compatible with the material. When uncertain, use a small hidden-area test or ask before use.
  • Do not immerse electronic, heated, sound, or other powered components unless the supplied instructions expressly allow it.

Dry completely

Pat the surface dry with a clean, non-dyed towel. Allow folds, joints, and internal areas enough airflow to dry fully before clothing or storage. Trapped moisture can cause odor, staining, or material problems.

TPE care

  • TPE is soft and flexible but can be more sensitive to staining, friction, oil migration, and pressure.
  • Keep it away from dark or unwashed fabrics. Test new clothing on a hidden area and limit long contact until you know it is colorfast.
  • If the supplied instructions recommend a finishing powder, use only the recommended type and a light, even amount on a clean, fully dry surface.
  • Do not place TPE directly against an unknown soft plastic, rubber, painted surface, or another doll material during long-term storage.

Silicone care

  • Silicone generally holds fine sculpted detail well, but thin edges, fingers, toes, makeup, and implanted hair still need gentle handling.
  • Do not assume every oil, powder, adhesive, or repair product is compatible. Ask before applying an unfamiliar product.
  • Avoid prolonged pressure, sharp edges, forced joints, and excessive heat.

Moving and posing

  • Support the torso and weight-bearing areas; do not lift by the head, neck, hands, fingers, feet, or a single limb.
  • Move joints slowly and stop at resistance. Do not use leverage to force a pose.
  • Standing-foot hardware protects the material only when it is used on a suitable clean surface and the product remains supervised.
  • For a heavy model, use a second adult or compatible lifting equipment.

Storage

Store clean and fully dry, away from direct sun, radiators, heaters, freezing conditions, moisture, sharp objects, and dark dye-transferring fabric. Use a neutral, supported position that does not place long pressure on the face, chest, hips, fingers, toes, or bent joints.

If you are unsure

Care varies by material and installed options. Send the product link and a photo through the contact page before trying a cleaner, powder, repair material, or storage method that was not supplied with the order.
